One of the top teen novel writers of this generation, Paul Volponi for the past decade has delivered some fine, awesome books. Such books include Crossing Lines, Response, The Hand You're Dealt, and of course. Black And White. Paul Volponi was born in, and currently lives in New York City, where like many authors in this day and age, he was a teacher. Volponi has attributed teaching Riker Islands prisoners to learn how to read and write into helping him create his novels. With over 5 hit books about teenage life, Volponi is a very influential author to teenagers, often going into places that many authors do not go into teen novels, as he strays away from the Harry Potters and Twilights and instead talks about things such as rape, racism, drugs, all things that teens should be properly educated about.
